Dear AD PRO community,

This week, I’m excited to announce that David Kaufman is joining the AD team as our new digital director, overseeing ArchDigest.com, Clever, and AD PRO, as well as our social media and video productions. I have long admired David’s work as a journalist and editor and am thrilled to partner with him as we continue to grow AD’s digital presence.

As David put it recently, “At a moment when homes are doing double—even triple!—duty as everything from schools to corner offices, no media brand feels more relevant right now than Architectural Digest.” I couldn’t agree more and look forward to launching new initiatives that will bring all of our readers and audiences even more resources and engaging content.

One new AD PRO initiative got off to a great start earlier this week on Tuesday, when Marie Kalt, editor of AD France, and I hosted a celebration of The Most Beautiful Rooms in the World, a new book featuring projects from all 10 international editions of AD. Fittingly, the event was a chance to allow the editors of our sister publications around the world—China, Germany, India, Italy, Mexico, the Middle East, and Spain—to share three favorite photos from their respective chapters, and to take a few questions from the audience. With everyone Zooming in from different time zones, it was truly a global experience.

This was the first in a new virtual event series designed to bring conversations with top designers and other industry experts directly to AD PRO members. Stay tuned for more!
