Nintendo Switch Neon Joy-Cons

Hi folks, yup it's issue #200 of Switch Weekly with your Nintendo news round-up. Hope you're having a great Sunday

Kinda crazy that I've been sending this newsletter for nearly four years now. Big number milestones always make me sit back and think about this email and what it's become. I love doing it, and it's so great that I get to share all the amazing stuff I find with you week in, week out. I've been looking back over some older issues and it really has been a pleasure to highlight some fantastic Nintendo-related reads over the years. I hope you've enjoyed it too, and find that the newsletter continues to be a valuable read in your inbox. I'm always open to read any feedback or comments, so please do hit reply and let me know your thoughts on it.

Whilst I'm here I want to extend a thanks to those who make this possible, as the support from my patrons really does help keep the newsletter sustainable and accessible to all.

Right, talking of Patreon, for October the Switch Games Club will be playing through Donkey Kong Country 2 — interested in joining us? Details here.

Over 25 games are landing on the store next week, the highlight of which has to be Super Mario Bros. 35. Battle Royale Mario-style sounds awesome, and I can't wait to try it out (and no doubt get destroyed). The full list of upcoming games is below as usual.

Enjoy the issue, and here's to the next 200!
Chris ✌️

🎮 Currently Playing: Ring Fit Adventure, Star Fox, Rocket League and the Super Mario 3D All-Stars Collection

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity – Champions Unite! — A new trailer showing off the Champions in this upcoming musou game. Oh and Impa has been confirmed as a playable character too.

Nintendo // YouTube

A new Joy-Con drift lawsuit accuses Nintendo of ‘creating a product designed to break’ — A French consumer group are calling for Nintendo to change the Joy-Con manufacturing process. Good luck to them — I hope this sort of pressure keeps up as it's clear Nintendo, depsite making changes, have not solved this.

Tom Ivan // VGC

How will Nintendo compete with the PS5 and Xbox Series X? — With the next generation of consoles upon us, Alex and Jon from Nintendo Life ponder where Nintendo fits into all of this?

Nintendo Life // YouTube

REVIEW Lost Ember — "While Lost Ember is not a long game, it’s definitely a game that deserves your time".

Joachim Ziebs  // Nintendad

REVIEW WWE 2K Battlegrounds — "let down [..] by limited and repetitive combat, dopey AI, an excessively locked roster and a series of bewildering design choices".

Chris Scullion // Nintendo Life

Leaving Breath of the Wild’s Plateau is the ultimate call to adventure — This great six-minute video expresses the liberating feeling that Breath of the Wild offers, and will no doubt make you want to jump back into Hyrule.

Marty Sliva (The Escapist) // YouTube

Does Nintendo have a refund problem?

Gavin Lane // Nintendo Life

Nintendo Switch launches in Brazil, the first Nintendo product to go on sale in the country since 2015 — The Switch arrived in Brazil last week. Know any Nintendistas? Be sure to let them know about Switch Weekly. 😄
