Biden has now taken the lead in Georgia, inching closer to the White House. Trump is closing in on the Democrat in Arizona, but the gap is at more than 45,000 votes. Pennsylvania, where Trump has a narrow lead over Biden, is expected to give an update later today. 

Philadelphia police stopped a plot to attack the Philadelphia Convention Center where votes are being counted—the site of tense protests throughout the evening.
