Retail work is the most common job in America. The majority of retail workers are women. And almost 400,000 retail jobs were lost and haven’t been recovered since the pandemic started.

The Oxford English Dictionary made updates to its definition of the word “woman,” including changing the definition to say that a woman can be “a person’s wife, girlfriend, or female lover” (instead of just “a man’s”).
