How Rupert Murdoch Became Eight Times Richer Than Donald Trump|The Super Fans Of American Politics

Donald Trump is set to leave the White House in about two months, leading to speculation about what the billionaire will do next. He might follow the lead of his predecessors, leveraging his fame to publish books, deliver speeches, and appear on television. There are even some rumors that he might want to start his own network to rival Fox News. Judging by Trump’s track record, however, he’ll probably have a hard time out-dealing Fox founder Rupert Murdoch, as Maddie Berg explains.

Mind On Their Money

As Covid-19 cases surge past 11 million, and new stay-at-home orders heighten concerns over a fragile economic recovery, millions of Americans risk losing crucial federal benefits if Congress can’t come to agreement on a new stimulus bill. Just 22 days until a December 11 government shutdown deadline, that pandemic relief package hangs in the balance as lawmakers hope to reach an agreement on an omnibus spending bill by week's end.

Some much needed good news in the fight against Covid-19—nearly 10 months after the first confirmed coronavirus case hit the U.S.,
a vaccine could be available as soon as next month, according to Moderna CEO Stéphane Bancel. Preliminary data from Moderna’s phase 3 trial of a Covid-19 vaccine found that the vaccine was about 95% effective at preventing the illness.

Not to be outdone,
Pfizer and BioNTech are preparing to submit their Covid-19 vaccine for Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) in the U.S. Friday after new trial data showed it to be 95% effective, following initial news of 90% efficacy in its Phase 3 trials.

Meanwhile, the FDA issued an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) to a
Covid-19 self-test that can be used at home and provide results within 30 minutes

At the White House, President Donald Trump last week asked for options on a possible military strike on Iran’s main nuclear site in his last weeks in office, the
New York Times reported first, but the president was dissuaded by senior advisers who feared that such a strike would escalate into a larger military conflict in the region.

The green revolution has been won, says America’s new wind billionaire, Michael Polsky, whose belief in the power of wind led him to become founder of the largest independent renewable energy provider in North America. While the technology revolution may have arrived, Polsky still needs to get his windmills sited and transport the wind power to the people.
