AD PRO - Florals for Winter?
From the Source goes live every other Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. ET from the AD PRO Instagram account to share the new products that are catching the attention of AD market editor Madeline O’Malley and AD PRO associate editor Mel Studach. Our next live session will be December 16. Watch last week’s episode featuring all 10 picks, view the resource guide, and find an edited recap of our conversation below. Madeline O'Malley: Perhaps winter is to blame, but I’m finding myself turning to fabrics, wallpapers, and linens even more right now for some floral frills. Mel Studach: Believe it or not, there are some faux plants and flowers some designers actually love!
Maddie: This is true. One fresh wallcovering variety I’m adding to my list is designer Nicole Fuller’s new collaboration with Fromental. Dubbed Märchen, the design has a really pretty peony motif with stria descending from its petals, an inspired nod to the works of artist Cy Twombly. Mel: So dreamy—and what a rich assortment of colorways, too! My first pick this week is architect and interior designer Samuele Brianza’s debut product collection. Primo is a limited-edition series composed of marble elements that can be constructed in various modular table designs, and what’s really neat is that each segment is cut from the same marble block, so the veining can be layered yet still maintain a cohesive look. The configuration options look so fun to play around with, and surface options include stone, metal, or glass.
Maddie: Building blocks made chic. I love it. One more new collab on my list this week is the new bedding by designer Sara Gilbane for Kassatex. I was particularly intrigued by a vintage-inspired turquoise and pink floral pattern, which covers a silk pillowcase and matching sleep mask that I just adore in the collection.
Mel: Again with the florals! If I may add to the love of punchy bedding, your recent roundup of fabulous printed bed linens has me seriously considering saying so long to my solid sheet set. Maddie: Mission accomplished. Mel: Haha! My next pick this week comes from lighting maker Hector Finch.… Continue to the full episode here. Trouble viewing?
