I just watched this movie called The Silent Partner. I’m still a sucker for the coziness of the holidays, I love Elliot Gould, and I’ll watch anything that can be vaguely described as “Hitchcockian”. Well, The Silent Partner stars Elliott Gould as bank teller who foils an attempted robbery by a mall Santa — and well, let me tell you: do not watch The Silent Partner if you you are looking some high-brow holiday happiness! It is bleak, people. Bleak!
Why do I tell you this? For starters, I have to tell someone, but also, it’s been a long year and however you’re spending the next few weeks, I hope you’re able to at least be around some of the people you care about and do some of the things that make you feel good. That’s all.

No matter the specifics of our celebrations over the next couple weeks, may we all put on our baggiest beanies and our beefiest white tees and listen to what Ronaldinho says. Be well, all.
