Hello fellow freelancers,
A note from me to say Happy Christmas, and a huge thank you for your support in 2020. Freelance Feels is really growing and it’s thanks to every subscriber and follower, so… thank you!
The podcast will be back on Jan 1st, with special guest Millie Gooch, founder of The Sober Girl Society. It’s just gone over 6,000 downloads which is a lovely little stocking filler win for me. Next goal is 10,000!
On Jan 4, the January newsletter will land in your inbox, looking at resolutions - AKA goals, intentions, plans, dreams… The newsletter is close to that magic 1,000 subscribers, so if you do enjoy it, please share it so others might sign up.
Switching off-off…
Are you still working? Will you work between Christmas and New Year? There’s a lot to be said for ‘switching off-off’ as I have begun to call it, and personally I’ll be taking a break from Instagram which is a particular obsession for me. This festive season there’ll be less scrolling, more strolling (yes, with those dogs…).
I was going to say I wasn’t even going to THINK about work but I think that’s impossible for me, so I’ll be making December 29th a keeping in touch day, and that helps me feel balanced as I move into Christmas Eve and Day. If you are considering a total work ban, here’s some advice which went down well recently:
Talking of goals - or any other word you like to use - if you’re keen to set some for your freelance business in 2021, you could consider joining my group course, Relight Your Freelance Fire. It’s over 4 weeks in Jan, and will help you work out where you’re at, where you want to be, and how to get there. Do email me if you’d like to know more. The out of office will be on, but if you title your email ‘Relight Your Freelance Fire’ I’ll get back to you on the 29th Jan.
And, if you feel so inclined you can buy me a festive drink via my Ko-fi page, too.
For now, I wish you a very merry Christmas! I wish you peace and prosperity for your business and yourself.
