Design Hunting - Dreams of Home

PBS partnered with RadicalMedia to create American Portrait Public Art Initiative, a storytelling project coaxing people across the country to share their experience of what it is to be an American. Kim Hastreiter was brought into the project to curate the artists chosen to create installations that respond and reflect those personal stories. The artist known as Swoon (Caledonia Curry) has created a mobile art installation on a box truck that magically opens into a fantasy house in which some of the stories are played out with a team of actors. It reminds of us our commonality, despite our differences. We were lucky enough to get the first look!
