Forbes - Supply Chain Blues

There’s an important part of Covid-19 vaccines that often goes unremarked on -- it’s not cool, it’s not sexy, but it is essential: it’s the supply chain, and right now it makes all the difference when it comes to which vaccines are being rolled out across the world. The AstraZeneca vaccine, not yet approved in the U.S., is facing a supply chain crisis in the form of strict export rules that might make it hard to deliver outside the EU. Meanwhile Pfizer’s supply chain is rolling along smoothly; the company said today that it will be able to deliver a new batch of Covid-19 vaccines even sooner than expected.
