💸What we’ve learned about the next stimulus check

Congress is still inching toward putting together the next stimulus package. The legislative text is currently being drafted, and key provisions like who will qualify are starting to look more solid. They’re hoping to get a package signed into law as soon as March.

Based on responses I received last week, I know that the next round of stimulus checks are top of mind for many. We’ve updated our stimulus check calculator to reflect the most current income threshold cutoffs (they’re different from the last two checks, so it’s likely that fewer people will be eligible).

Also, it’s officially tax season! The IRS is now accepting tax returns, so it’s time for all of us to start putting them together. You can file electronically and for free with the IRS any time between now and April 15.
