“I tell my students, ’When you get these jobs that you have been so brilliantly trained for, just remember that your real job is that if you are free, you need to free somebody else. If you have some power, then your job is to empower somebody else" is just one beautiful career-advice snippet from 8 indispensable pieces of career advice from Toni Morrison, writer, activist, professor...legendary human.

What begins as a totally innocent comedy sketch unfolds into a hilariously naughty performance, featuring a feminist theater ensemble performing The Vagin– we mean, the "elbow" monologue ;)

Otobong Nkanga is a Nigerian visual and performance artist. We first fell in love with her work in a video interview where she reflects on the politics of land and body. Once you watch the video, read more about some of her famous exhibitions including "To Dig A Hole That Collapses Again" that shows how she foregrounds human relations with the natural world in Africa.

Can you work it like Rihanna?!

A new US postage stamp has been issued honoring Chien-Shiung Wu, a groundbreaking Chinese American scientist known as the “First Lady of Physics.”

Roxane Gay launches a masterclass for social impact writing to "make a difference in this world."

Ok so we know it's not Valentine's Day anymore, but that's exactly why we're including this one here; every day, when you can, is an opportunity to celebrate love! (yes, we're cheesier than Parmigiano) Paola Hermosín is a PHENOMENAL musician and Youtuber who recently posted a beautiful cover of Cielito Lindo, a traditional Mexican song of love, originally composed in 1882. And if you're like us and literally can't stop watching her videos, we recommend also watching her video on Tarantella Napoletana! Bellissimo.

It's Eating Disorder awareness week and we're bringing back something really special for the occasion🖤

Megan Jayne Crabbe, also known as @bodyposipanda, is undoubtedly one of my favorite, most impactful Instagram accounts to follow. I first started following her a few years ago while actively struggling with an eating disorder and I was drawn to her unapologetic yet loving approach to body positivity and anti-diet culture.

An anorexia survivor and biracial woman, Megan emphasizes the importance of including and featuring individuals of all identities, especially those who are disabled, plus-sized, LGBTQIA+ and/or people of color, in the body positivity movement. Crabbe’s posts include fun videos of her dancing without shame, calling out racism and fatphobia, and encouraging self-compassion and beneficial mental health behaviors.

Bodyposipanda is an account I genuinely love seeing on my Instagram feed, especially as I work to transform my social media into a more positive, informative space. Her book, Body Positive Power, is a great and freeing read I recommend to those who struggle with eating disorders and those tired of diet culture and fatphobia.
