Hey all!

This week, there are three brand-new micro-SaaS opportunities on the table. This week's are some of my favorite yet, so take a look!

Opportunity 1: UserTesting (Micro-SaaS)

User testing is quickly becoming a critical piece of how software is developed. Instead of relying on design experts, developer savants, and pure luck to decide if their product is usable, companies are starting to learn that they can perform usability tests with real people instead.

Imagine, talking to people! Who would have thought.

Unfortunately, for software companies, doing user testing over the internet can still be tricky...

For one, there's a huge problem with the up-front effort to get started with user testing. You need to source the right testers, create test accounts with the proper permissions, potentially even educate the user on some basic domain knowledge that real customers already know, and finally pay them somewhere between $50-$100 for their 10-30 minutes of review.

This week, we'll be looking closely at how to build a SaaS company that makes user testing easy for software companies, by integrating directly into an application!

We'll look in-depth at how companies like UserTesting aren't properly positioned to compete against this value proposition, discuss what an MVP would entail, and talk about three ways to find your first customers.

Opportunity 2: Bitly (Micro-SaaS)

This opportunity is a personal favorite of mine...

We'll be taking a look at the URL-shortening company Bitly, and look at how the market has shifted since 2008, specifically a pivotal shift in 2010 that fundamentally shifted the purpose of these URL tools.

We'll then look at one innovative company that was recently acquired, and explain why their innovation is so exciting if applied to the Content Marketing niche.

Finally, we'll discuss how the technical details of how a bootstrapper could build an even better product than the one that was acquired, a demo of what that technology would look like, and the sales strategy I'd recommend for bringing this product to market.

Check it out!

Opportunity 3: VWO Testing (Micro-SaaS)

VWO Testing is an A/B testing software, which helps companies try out different "versions" of their webpage in order to find out which ones convert the best.

We'll look at how the A/B market has shifted over time, helping to explain the context in which A/B companies have started shifting their focus into adjacient areas.

Then, we'll look into one of those adjacient areas (the segmentation space!) and discuss an opportunity to make it easy for users to enable self-segmentation on any website, with its metrics fully tracked in Google!

We'll also talk about the MVP, focusing on the one major change I'd recommend to the MVP to keep it at a micro-SaaS size - otherwise this project could really blow up in scope!
