Yesterday was International Women’s Day, as you may have noticed from the barrage of themed emails in your inbox. Though it’s a day ostensibly dedicated to shining a light on the work of women around the globe, my colleague, ForbesWomen Editor Maggie McGrath, says it’s morphed into something far more commercial. Instead of using the holiday for gifts and marketing campaigns, we should take this week to consider the role of women in the workforce.
