The Single Supplement - A little update!
Hi everyone, I’m just sending a quick email to you all to give you a little update. Big thanks to everyone who sent me a lovely message after my last newsletter and special thanks to those who bought me a coffee on Ko-Fi. I was so touched. I already feel much better after the break but want to spend the next couple of weeks working on my strategy to make this newsletter more manageable for me so I don’t burn out again. I have some ideas but just need a bit of time to think about it some more. I’m really looking forward to coming back better than ever! In the meantime, Tiffany Philippou and I have relaunched our life writing classes and we are kicking off tomorrow with the first class. These classes are perfect for those who enjoy writing and would like to put their work out in the world but don’t know where to begin. Come and here us talk about launching newsletters, medium blogs and pitching to editors among lots of other topics. It would be great to see some readers of this newsletter at the classes. We strive to make sure the classes are really welcoming and friendly. Tickets can be bought here and more information can be found here. Feel free to email me if you would like to ask any questions about the classes. We’re passionate about the power of personal stories and we believe that it’s important to tell stories from a diverse range of voices, so for each class, we hold back some free tickets for those who need them. For more information on this, please check the Eventbrite link. I have also written a feature for the i paper about a year of being single during the pandemic. As well as sharing my own thoughts and feelings, I also spoke to a number of other single people including some members of this community. There is so much more I could have said but I’ve had some great feedback from this article so do give it a read! Don’t forget, I can most often be found on Instagram so do consider following me over there to stay up to date. Looking forward to coming back properly. Thanks so much for bearing with me. Lots of love, Nicola Twitter: @Nicola_Slawson | Instagram: @Nicola_Slawson If you liked this post from The Single Supplement, why not share it? |
