In theory, moving is exciting. In practice, it sucks. Recent research shows that it’s one of life's top stressors. (They say it’s even more stressful than getting a divorce, but I am just the messenger!) 

I’m in the process of moving (sorry, Mayor Suarez, I’m not heading to Miami...yet), and I’ve been thinking about what to do with the zillions of boxes I’m taking with me to New York, and if there’s a way to unpack them while minimizing my impact on the environment. If you’re staying in the same neighborhood, moving is less of a hassle and more eco-friendly. Avoid a massive ULINE purchase and find a local company that sells reusable crates or bins. All you have to do is place an order for your boxes, pack ’em up, move, and then schedule a pick-up time.
