How do you do your goal setting?

I follow a framework called 3 month year. It's where I treat every 3 month block as if it were a year, and I plan and execute accordingly.

Why?

• A year is too long a timeframe. Things change, priorities change, life happens.
• When the timeframe is long, it's easy to get lazy, complacent, or lose sight of the original goal.

The solution is to shorten the timeframe.

3 months is a long enough time span to get a lot done, and at the same time it's short enough to instil a sense of urgency, such that you can't slack off too many days.
