Sallie’s Opinion

What’s on your “yes” list?

Since it’s the things we didn’t do — or the risks we didn’t take — that we are said to regret at the end of our lives: I’m going to say yes to as many things as I can from here on out.

Especially after a year of saying no to so many things — for the protection of ourselves and those around us — here's what I'm saying “hell yes” to from now on:

Yes to staying grateful for the people who make our lives so much richer. The staff at our favorite restaurants. Our neighbors. Our teachers. And especially, especially our nurses, doctors, and health care providers.

Yes to getting in touch with our money. And talking about it. So. Much. Talking about it.

Yes to working for a company that prioritizes its people. And asking intentional questions during the interview process to get a feel for the company’s culture and inclusiveness.

Yes to voting in our own best interests. And yes to voting “selfishly” for the things that will make our children’s and other children’s lives better.

An NFT is a digital token (like a digital certificate of authenticity) that’s linked to an asset, like artwork, a video clip, or even real estate. Ownership of the token is stored and tracked using blockchain. Each NFT is unique and “non-fungible” meaning it’s not interchangeable and can’t be swapped (like Bitcoins can).”

Here’s what’s behind the hype

The market has been abuzz lately with talk of NFTs, SPACs, and bubbles. Get the breakdown ... in plain English, from Ellevest’s Senior Portfolio Manager Ankur Patel.
