Hey Cornelia, tell us about yourself...

Well, I had quite a unique childhood growing up in Vienna (Austria) and playing the violin professionally all throughout my teenage years. When I was about to hit my last year of high school, I felt the call to study abroad and decided to 'retire' from being a solo violinist.

I went to university in Hawaii on a scholarship to study Political Science and International Business and paid for the rest of the tuition fees by doing commercial modeling.

While in university, I met the love of my life and got married. Due to his job, we ended up moving to a new state every few months and so the 'laptop lifestyle' was one that caught my interest early on.

We finally settled in California and I landed a job as a Business Analyst at AON. Sitting at my cubicle one day, under those neon lights, I decided that this wasn't the job for me — so I quit after about 8 months to pursue my dream of becoming a successful online entrepreneur.

I eventually founded the funnel marketing agency FunnelGal and have been lucky to work with many popular 7 and 8-figure brands for the last 6.5 years.

In 2017, my husband Ben Claybrook (who's the expert when it comes to lead generation for solar companies) and I founded Funnel Pro School together.

Last Year, when the pandemic started, I had just become a new mom to my beautiful baby boy. I felt called to be closer to my own parents (and for them to meet their grandson) and so I moved my little family and our two dogs to Switzerland, where we’ve made our home… for now!

What is your...

Superpower → I would say that my business superpower is being able to see the big picture. My business friends constantly come to me for advice because they appreciate my 'visionary' mind coupled with my marketing knowledge.

Something You're Proud Of → Even though I'm proud of quite a few of my business accomplishments, my biggest one would still be having carried and giving birth to a beautiful, healthy child — my son, Cosmo Archibald 🥰

A Time When You Failed → When I was experiencing burnout in 2018, I was lost and didn’t know if I was on the right track in my life and in business.

I didn’t feel aligned anymore and I had to pause, do a complete social media detox and some deep soul-searching to begin to get re-aligned.

The biggest thing I learned from that experience was to not wait so long — but instead to allow myself to pause and take a step back when I start to feel misaligned with myself, my business, and my life.

What Excites You? → For me, it’s building generational wealth, working on maintaining my health (self-care) and spending quality time with loved ones.

Fave Biz Book → Definitely Profit First by Mike Michalowicz. A business is only as strong as its ongoing cash flow system (aka profits), so this is where I’ve been focusing in my own business.

Fave Biz Podcast → How I Built This with Guy Raz is my must-listen. It's easy to glorify the end result but often times we forget to take a long, hard look at the journey that got us there. I love this podcast because it shares an open and honest look at the process — both the high and low points.

Desert Island Album → Oh… tough one — I love music. How about In a Perfect World by Kodaline … Or maybe Dear Misfortune, Mother of Joy by Broken Back. 🎵
