"Launch Jacking" Examples that Worked + This Deal Ends...

Have you heard of launch jacking?

It’s when an affiliate marketer ‘hijacks’ somebody’s product launch.

The idea is that before a business releases a product, you write a post about it, and have it ranking well. Come launch day, you want everyone to buy the product through your affiliate link.

One of the examples is how our writer Dan ‘launch jacked’ a popular craft product called the Cricut EasyPress. It is a reasonably high-priced product with a great commission rate, and is very popular among crafting moms.

The EasyPress was announced a month or so before launch day, and Dan wrote up an overview and published it on his niche site. It immediately ranked number one for all of the relevant keywords.

When launch day arrived, the post was still ranking number one, even above the retailer themselves! The result? A LOT of affiliate commissions.

As always, there is a real mix of niches as well, including skateboarding, outdoor movie projectors, radios, and car fluids!

The car fluid site is interesting, as it’s doing so well with basically no backlinks.

The listing reveals that it’s receiving 13,047 visitors per month, and making $523 per month. Not bad for a DR 0.3 site!

Total Number of SEO Agencies in the World

On Monday I went to social media to ask a question I was genuinely curious about.

​How many SEO agencies are there? ​

It's an impossible question to answer, but I got a lot of responses that there was well A LOT.

One suggestion that did come up a few times was to estimate the number using Ahrefs or Moz accounts and adjust from there.

Anton K. from the Facebook Group said "Ahrefs gets about 5M direct visitors per month. I think it's safe to say that 500k of them are agencies."
