Power BI Weekly Newsletter Issue #116
powered by endjin
Welcome to the 116th edition of Power BI Weekly! It's monthly-Power BI-feature-time, and what an update! The Paginated Report visual is now here, finally bridging the gap between standard Power BI reports, Direct Query over Dataflows is now GA, and there have been changes to dataset discoverability such that those without permissions can view the dataset name and description and can subsequently request access to the dataset should they wish. We were also told about that The Power BI report action bar is now available in the Power BI SharePoint Online webpart, and that there are now long-term usage and performance insights (Public Preview) with Log Analytics integration for Premium workspaces.
Elsewhere this week, Darren Gosbell has announced that DAX Studio 2.16 has been released, containing numerous feature enhancements and bug fixes. Imke Feldmann has announced that Power BI Cleaner Gen2 is here, fixing bugs, improving performance and overcomes some earlier limitations. Finally, Chandeep Chhabra has written about Bottom N Analysis in Power BI, with some clever use of FILTER and RANKX.
