‘I love you, now please go back to the office’

Anyone looking for a burger made from something that didn’t used to be alive is often in luck. Options for plant-based burgers have vastly expanded in the last five years, both in breadth and depth. Not only are more brands than ever focused on providing meat-free burgers, some of them have used science and, seemingly, magic to manufacture a fake burger that is practically indistinguishable from the real thing. Apart from burgers, several high-profile companies have also created synthetic chicken nuggets and Italian sausages with a similar authenticity.

But what about vegetarians who crave substitutes for meats that aren’t typically served at a ballpark? Major plant-based brands seem hesitant to reinterpret all the colors of the meat rainbow. How long must vegans wait for the Beyond Bulgogi? Whither the Impossible Pastrami?

Neither may hit the market anytime soon, but in the meantime, those brands might consider taking a page out of the Herbivorous Butcher’s playbook. This Minneapolis-based vegan butcher shop and wholesale supplier has the creativity and vision to satisfy non-meat eaters seeking variety, at a fraction of the R&D cost of the majors. Their approach just may be the filet of the plant-based meat world. Read the full story here.

LegalZoom tries again: What you need to know
Another day, another IPO. This time around it’s LegalZoom, the tech platform that allows people to easily create legal documents online.
Though its initial public offering of stock is today, LegalZoom actually began operating just over 20 years ago, in March 2001.
And this isn’t the first time that LegalZoom has held an IPO. The company originally filed for an initial public offering back in 2012, before delaying that a few years, and then finally canceling it.
LegalZoom will be offering 19,121,000 shares of common stock. Shares of LZ will begin trading at $28 per share. It hopes to raise $535 million.
