  Google has now pushed back removing 3rd party cookies in Chrome another 2 years (to late 2023), but at the same time is still testing new tracking mechanisms (like “FLoC”).

• New Linkedin Data Leak Leaves 700 Million Users Exposed [restoreprivacy.com]
  A LinkedIn data leak left 700m users exposed. Restore Privacy says minimize risk of data harvesting by limiting the amount of data you share:
  1. Limit sharing on social media
  2. Use a private browser like DuckDuckGo for mobile.
• International Coalition Calls for Action Against Surveillance-Based Advertising [forbrukerradet.no]
  A report from the Norwegian Consumer Council (NCC) found that 80-90% of people online don't want to be spied on for more relevant ads. 55 orgs and 20+ experts are asking authorities in the European Union and United States to consider a ban against surveillance-based advertising.
• Security Tips for Online LGBTQ+ Dating [eff.org]
  Check out the Electronic Frontier Foundation's guide for online LGBTQ+ dating security tips. Their advice to stay safe (which can be useful to anyone) includes:
  • Be careful/mindful of the data you share on dating sites/profiles
