Here you have a man, Frederick Taylor Gates, who (1) was called the greatest businessman of his time by Rockefeller, (2) established the University of Chicago, (3) created the world's first permanent Private Foundation, (4) conceived the Rockefeller Institute, and (5) helped moved American medicine from the bottom to top spot. Almost entirely unknown, Gates is a man with uncommon traits.
