Silicon Valley Funding News - Week of October 4, 2021. Perfect Day Raised $350M Series D

In 2019, Alfred, Philip and I started a new non-profit called FoundersHK with the goal to support Hong Kong founders and connect them to Silicon Valley.  Tonight, we are hosting our very first demo day for 11 accelerator companies.  As someone who was born and raised in Hong Kong, I am very proud to see that Hong Kong is now the #1 startup city in Asia (excluding China) and home to 9 unicorns including, Airwallex, Prenetics, Animoca Brands, Amber Group, GOGOX, Klook, LalaMove, POIZON, and WeLab.

Despite both the social unrest and COVID, founders in Hong Kong are staying strong and going full force. According to Crunchbase, over 105 Hong Kong companies raised more than $3,750,437,112 USD in 2021 and I believe we will continue to remain #1 for the rest of this year. =). I learned so much from our companies in the past 8 weeks. Philip, Bonnie and I are really going to miss our weekly get togethers.  We are super proud of our companies and would love the world (aka you) to meet them.  Join us here.
