Big Idea: Be careful what you wish for. There are many ways to make money as a creator, but you have to enjoy what you are doing to make it work. 

"Charlie Munger once said: “Take a simple idea and take it seriously.” Many of the most successful people I’ve studied have found their edge by putting their faith in one big idea. They’ve committed to the idea, and studied it so much that its implications have become second nature."

Big Idea: The concept of "One Big Idea" is a big part of why IdeaEconomy exists. Business success basically comes down to persistent execution on a good idea.  Execution is critical but starting from a weak idea makes business so much harder.

Pete McPherson of DoYouEvenBlog.com shares exactly how much he has earned from his small YouTube channel and affiliate commissions since January 2020.

He's earning about $500 per month off of 21,000 monthly views. He says that it's relatively easy to get to $500 per month once you're accepted to YouTube's partnership program.

"There’s a pressing need — and an opportunity — to build vertical-specific tools for workers striking out on their own. Much has been written about the proliferation of vertical software tools that help firms run their businesses, but the next generation of great companies will provide integrated, vertical software for individuals going solo."

Big Idea: Software is enabling solo entrepreneurs to achieve what only larger companies could do in the past. I don't think we are far from the first billion-dollar one-person company.

Solid advice to write better content. 

"Fear is to protect us from the shame of trying and failing. Your ego would rather not try at all. It would rather you fail without trying. Most people refer to this as their comfort zone.

Nothing ever grows in your comfort zone aside from apathy and mediocrity. "

"The most common fear I have heard from every creative is: “Am I good enough?”

This never goes away regardless of how much success and awards your work may win. Your creative heroes and icons still think the same, except for a tiny caveat, which is “Am I still good enough?”
