Issue 187 - Cybertruck side mirrors

Cybertruck & Accessories

Cybertruck side mirrors
The Cybertruck needs to be sold with side mirrors but seems that Tesla is going to make it easy to remove them, I hope they provide some cameras on the sides tho 😊

Giveaway Alert: Win a Game Controller for your Tesla
For the Tesla owners and gamers out there... This week we've partnered with Evannex to give away a Game Controller for your Tesla 🎮 Head out to Twitter to participate. Good luck 🍀

CCS adapter seems to be a bit disappointing
According to the first reports, the charging rate is never going to go past 60-70kW. I hope this is a software limitation and they improve it later on as they test it more.

FSD Beta

FSD Beta 10.3 release notes 📷
I love seeing pretty extensive release notes for the new firmware. Hopefully, the team does that for public releases as well.

FSD Beta 10.3 adds vision-based auto park 📷
Cool to see this extending beyond the refreshed Model S.

FSD Beta stopping at a car running a red light 📹
Nice job Tesla AutoPilot team!

New FSD Beta 10.3 Driving Profile Options 📷
One of the biggest changes in FSD Beta 10.3 is the ability to select driving profile options, similar to the preference for NoAP. This indicates to FSD Beta what is your tolerance when it comes down to following the distance and speed lane changes.

Software Updates

"Portable" driving profiles
It isn't the first time that someone asks Elon about the ability to bring their driver profiles with them when they driver another Tesla. It seems more important now that Hertz will be offering to rent them. If I can ask for other stuff, I hope things like your favorites and your music go with you as well, that would be cool.

First view at Sentry Model Live View 📹
We advanced that this was coming and now there is finally a video of how it looks like in the app. My guess is that this is someone with early access and that it will take a few weeks until we see it in our cars. Still pretty cool!

Safety

Interested in knowing more about your Safety Score? 📷
If you are, the well-known Stats for Tesla App gives you a nice view, including how many miles do you have to drive with a perfect score to go to the next score as well as how to reach 100. Oh, they are also tracking how many people got into FSD Beta, take a look!

Folks not paying attention are getting warnings and will be kicked out of FSD Beta if it repeats 📷
Tesla is taking seriously enforcing people paying attention to the road when using FSD Beta and seems to be sending warning emails to folks who aren't paying enough attention to the nags.

Tesla road trips: When charging gets weird
Aside from Superchargers, there are many other places to charge your car on the road, some more obvious than others.

💡 Tip of the week

For cars with automatic trunks, you can adjust the height by manually pulling the hatch to the desired height and pressing and holding the close button until it beeps. Really useful for folks with garages with low clearance.

🤓 What the acronym

As a Tesla fan, I find myself sometimes having to remember what are all those acronyms, here is a list of the ones you can find in this issue.
  • CCS - Combined Charging System
  • FSD - Full Self-Driving
  • kW - Kilowatts
  • NoAP - Navigate on Autopilot
