Welcome to our 300th Issue! 🎉

We can hardly believe it. It’s our 300th issue of Weekly Highlights! To celebrate, we want to share some of the fun things you told us in our January Global Survey. After all, it’s you, our beloved CreativeMornings community, who inspire us to do the work that we do.

Your stories lit us up! They reflect the many CreativeMornings hats you wear — as Weekly Highlights readers, curious observers of the world, FieldTrip explorers, intrepid jobseekers, and our courageous volunteers and organizers. Here are a few that made us squeal with joy:

“I moved to a new country with a new baby for a new job last year then the pandemic hit. Virtual FieldTrips were my self-care, my me-time, my guilty pleasure, and sometimes they were my only tether to sanity when my mind was fractured by anxiety and sleep deprivation. They helped me reconnect with the curious, adventurous, brave and empathic sides of my identity.”

“The CreativeMornings talks I have attended over the years have fundamentally altered the way I think about some things to this day. I so appreciate the opportunity for expansion.”

“My mom showed me CreativeMornings and continues to send me job postings she sees! It's been a really lovely way for the two of us to connect even more and I thank you all for that.”

“Thank you for brightening my mornings, especially when I first moved to Sydney and didn't know anyone. I am shy, and even if I didn't talk to anyone at an event, I felt like I belonged.”

“Keep up the good work encouraging artists! We all get tired/uninspired/beat down, and having a resource that, even if you only get one thing from a newsletter or blog post, is enough that it can change your mindset to be encouraged to press on and make great work.”

Thanks for trusting us with your precious stories. They kept our hearts nourished and inspired during a hard year. If you feel moved by these and want to share your own, reply to this email! We read them all.

All our love,
Annie, Alexa, Amanda, Casey, Katherine, Kyle, Lisa, and Tina at CMHQ
