Welcome to Morfternight, the newsletter that never says never again!

We started seven weeks ago with a group of 22 courageous people who agreed to receive the first issue of Morfternight on a promise that they'd enjoy it. We have grown steadily since, and this issue is going out to 95 awesome people, known as Morfters. Can you picture this?

At this point, each one of you has two options:
  • Keep this a secret so that only you receive Morfternight among your friends. Then you can be the cool kid at dinners showing off, or...
  • ...spread the love! Share this issue with any friend, colleague, or family member who you think might enjoy it, so they can subscribe too. You'll be an even cooler kid at dinners when you meet other Morfters!

👓 Stuff I read and liked
Ok, I know last week I said I wouldn't share links to the coverage of Mark Zuckerberg's Metaverse video, but I since read "Hey, Facebook, I Made a Metaverse 27 Years Ago" and changed my mind. Partially because I deeply understand the author's position. 27 years ago, with a few friends, I built a 3D world populated by chicken in VRML as a demo for Silicon Graphics. It could have become a Metaverse if the chicken had VR headsets.
All that being said, here's a great demo showcasing how breaking the barrier between Reality, Augmented Reality, and Virtual Reality could look like. So why choose where you can get it all at once?
I don't know where that comes from, but I have missed writing code myself lately, so I decided to take this Just JavaScript. I just started, but it looks very promising so far, particularly as a refresher for someone who already has the basics.
Finally, found on The Marginalian, The Secret to Learning Anything: Albert Einstein’s Advice to His Son: “Mainly play the things on the piano which please you, even if the teacher does not assign those. That is the way to learn the most, that when you are doing something with such enjoyment that you don’t notice that the time passes.”
