Happy Friday! We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and, turbulent travel (or turbulent family dinner!) aside, it was still an overall good time.

If, after the whirlwind of the meal prep and execution died down, you started thinking about ways to streamline next year, let me share one of my favorite simple holiday meal tools: an electric buffet server. I’ve used one for years during the holidays and we gave it shout out in our list of must-have dinner party accessories. It’s just so useful to keep sides warm and free up your oven for other tasks.

Also, as usual, I dipped into the Amazon deals today just to see if there was anything from my own shopping list that I could heartily recommend. Right now these smart Govee floodlights have a $20 instant coupon. I’ve been playing around with them for about a month now and they’re a super inexpensive and fun way to add smart lighting to the exterior of your home.

And water cooler (more likely holiday chatter) trivia? We always have some. Here’s a suitable winter sports bit of trivia for you. On this day in 1917, the National Hockey League was formed.
