Tip of the Day

Frequent shoveling helps prevent ice buildup under snowfall and ensures when the sun finally comes out it can heat your driveway and sidewalks more efficiently.

Happy Tuesday! All of you are scattered in climates of all kinds, but where I am it’s got big “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas” vibes today with all the trees caked in snow. Speaking of snow, if you’re looking for your big dusting do check out this breakdown of the month when it’s most likely to snow in your location.

If the talk of snow has you feeling the holiday spirit, we have some suitably holiday-centric tips to share with you. Here’s a great recipe to bulk bake Christmas cookies and if you’re planning some fun family holiday photos, we have tips and tricks from professional photographers to share. And what would the holidays be without candles? So grab (or gift!) some of these must-have candle accessories.

Speaking of gifts and deals, the Phone Soap 3, a handy little gadget that sanitizes your phone with UV-C light, is on sale today. I have one and have used it throughout the pandemic. Super handy little device. The black and white color models are 50% off which is even better than the Black Friday and Cyber Monday prices for this device. The Phone Soap is a great product but at $30 it’s a steal.

And water cooler trivia? You know we have some. Today is a particularly special day as, on this day in 1835, iconic American writer Mark Twain was born in Missouri. In honor of Twain’s birthday, allow me to share one of my favorite Mark Twain quotes.

“When I was a boy of 14, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be 21, I was astonished at how much the old man had learned in seven years.”
