📂 Send thousands of personal thank you videos

Outreach emails have come a long way.

From "Hey " to images that have personalized text on them — personalization is key to standing out today.

With the advent of tools like Loom, Bonjoro, and ZipMessage, it's easier than ever to record a personalized video. But that doesn't mean it's not time-consuming.

Imagine you wanted to send a video to a list of prospects or a list of customers on your lowest-tier plan. Recording 2 minute videos for hundreds of people just isn't feasible.

...or is it?

Recently I came across an article from my friend Marshall Haas who's the founder of Need/Want, the company behind the popular Peel iPhone cases, about how he sent 10,000+ personalized videos.

He's using it for his DTC ecommerce company, but there's no reason it can't be applied to SaaS.

Thanks to "deep fake" technology by Windsor, they were able to replicate Marshall on video and programmatically generate videos for customers personalized based on their first name.

The result?

  • 68% open rate on videos sent
  • 86% views watched to completion
  • Tons of positive responses

You can quite literally clone yourself. Sooner or later, this technology will become more commonplace and you'll experience diminishing returns. But until then, you can reap the rewards.

One of the more successful campaigns I ever ran for Baremetrics was an upsell email to customers who weren't using Recover or Cancellation Insights, the two add-on products.

I sent a generic email to customers talking about the benefits with a call to action to start a free trial, which yielded negligible results.

Then, I sent a personalized email using their personalized churn metrics and history and how each product could help them improve those metrics to a certain level. It yielded 10x better results.

Now imagine I had sent a personalized video for each of them that mentioned their name, company, and churn metrics?
