Can I be honest with you for a second? I’m an Android guy. I’ve always been an Android guy. Ok, ok, I was briefly a Windows Phone guy, and maybe that doesn’t say a lot about my tastes in phones. But I’ve just never been able to stay on iPhone long.

But resident staff writer Danny just might maybe have me convinced to try one more time. Because iPhones (and other Apple devices) have a superpower that, admittedly, Android can’t compete with (yet). The Find My network. It’s pretty compelling, and I have to admit I have occasionally looked at my wife with jealousy at her ease of finding a phone or her AirPods. Hit up the top story and let Danny convince you.

Rivian Faces an Insurmountable Wall of Electric Truck Pre-Orders

Back in October, Rivian quietly revealed that it produced just two R1T electric trucks per day. The automaker has slowly ramped up manufacturing, but it’s still far from reaching a practical production volume, and pre-orders are mounting faster than they can be fulfilled. Unsurprisingly, the cracks are starting to show. Read More »

Goodyear’s New Tires Solve the Last Loud EV Problem

Goodyear tires recently announced and released its first tire line built specifically for electric vehicles. As we all know, electric cars are nearly silent as they zip around the streets, but that also means drivers hear other things, like tire and road noise. Well, that’s exactly what the all-new Goodyear ElectricDrive GT tires aim to solve. Read More »

Here’s Why Storing Passwords In Your Browser Is a Bad Idea

We often warn that browser-based password managers lack the security and features of dedicated password software. But still, they’re better than nothing, right? A new report from AhnLab ASEC proves the opposite—storing passwords in your browser leaves you incredibly vulnerable to hackers, even if you use unique passwords for each of your accounts. Forget About Cold Coffee Thanks to This Easy-to-Use Mug Warmer

Nothing’s more disappointing than making a cup of tea or coffee, then getting sidetracked and forgetting about it until it’s cold. Now, thanks to this iconic mug warmer, you can keep your hot beverage, well, hot, all day. You can control what temperature the heating plate reaches, with one-degree increments between 77-194 degrees Fahrenheit. There’s even a built-in memory function that remembers your previously-set temperature so you don’t have to manually reset it each time. It automatically shuts off after eight hours, and is spill-resistant and easy to wipe down.

LEGO ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’ Set Lets You Zip Through the Green Hill Zone

Back in 2020, we begged LEGO to make this Sonic-based set after seeing it in the LEGO Ideas fan submission system. Luckily, earlier this year, the company did just that and announced its plans to make everyone’s favorite blue hedgehog. This week, LEGO officially launched its Sonic the Hedgehog set, but like Sonic, it’ll go fast, and here’s what you need to know. Read More »

Microsoft Can’t Resist Stuffing Unnecessary Crap Into Edge

The Edge browser is one of Microsoft’s greatest success stories of the last decade. It’s a solid and snappy browser that, despite carrying the legacy of Internet Explorer, has gobbled up a ton of market share. But Microsoft can’t break old habits. It keeps adding useless crap to Edge, like coupon tools, thinly-veiled credit card ads, and now, games. Read More »

Alexa Goaded a Child to Electrocute Themselves

Parents are questioning the kid-friendly nature of Amazon’s smart speakers after Alexa “challenged” a ten-year-old girl to stick a penny in a power outlet. Thankfully, the child’s mom caught Alexa giving instructions for this “challenge,” which Amazon promptly scrubbed from Alexa search results. Read More »
