Before you Trade Today: Know the Economic Calendar! Also See This Weeks Most Anticipated Earnings (Note: Red Indicates an Earnings Loss [Not Miss] Consensus)

Commentary: Today $APPL hit 3T in Market Cap. Why? Because big monied firms are preparing for inflation. So what does APPL offer in terms of inflation? Will they not be affected? Well they certainly will. However AAPL wont be slammed by inflation. Why? Observe:

• AAPL has Pricing Power: In short they sell a set of unique products coveted by many consumers who will buy their products & services no matter what the price. So as inflation increases, they wont lose much business as a result.

• AAPL has a Loyal Customer Base: Lots of AAPL nuts out there who wont use any other product but AAPL. Regardless of inflation, these folks will buy AAPL above all competitors. I have a iPhone, & I simply wont switch. Its the only APPL product I own, but after years of use I will not be switching to Android. There are many like me.

• AAPL has Prestige: I’ve been to many countries across the world in my military travels. If you were to ask a group of U.S. citizens how many people own iPhone’s they will indifferently raise their hands. However if you go overseas to many other countries outside of Europe, & ask the same question, you will see the iPhone owners smirk, look left & right, sit tall, & proudly raise their hand as if they’re some sort of big shot. AAPL is more than a smart device in these places, its a status symbol.

• AAPL is Reliably Profitable: In short, even as inflation hits, no one questions their ability to profit.

• AAPL Regularly Engages in Share Buybacks: AAPL does a good job of telling their shareholders “we will continue to support you through adding value to your shares.”

• AAPL is Constantly Reevaluating, Innovating, & Increasing Market Share: This

So what can we discern from APPLs recent increase with pending inflation, & fears of inflation? Its simple, folks think that no matter what the economic outcome, AAPL is a sure bet. I think its an interesting case. Of course I’m not buying AAPL, but I think there is something we can learn from their recent market success. Indeed AAPL is overvalued … & no one seems to care. Few companies are in the same boat, but among them are MSFT, AMZN, & Google.
