Power BI Weekly #141 - 25th January 2022
Power BI Weekly Newsletter Issue #141
powered by endjin
Welcome to the 141st edition of Power BI Weekly! A very exciting set of announcements around Deployment Pipelines this week, including a handy new Azure DevOps extension, Dataflows and Linked entities support going GA, and my personal favourite: multiple pipelines can now be integrated with one another, in the sense that you can have one pipeline managing your shared (centralized) datasets and others managing corresponding reports, with the dev, test and prod stages of each pipeline staying aligned. This means that dev reports are bound to dev datasets, test reports to test datasets, and prod reports to prod datasets. Sounds so simple, but a huge improvement - thanks to the Power BI team for making this happen!
Elsewhere this week, Antriksh Sharma has described Working With Expanded Tables In Power BI, James Andrew has described how to change Power BI Custom Icons depending on the time using DAX and UNICHAR, and Marc Lelijveld has started a governance series about Power BI Workspace setup.
