Sticky Notes - You've got 24-hours...

You're one well-written cold email away from a fistful of lady luck's hair...

The short of it...

How to become the Don Draper of cold email is an afternoon sized-guide that will teach you how to use cold email to get anything you want. From now until this time tomorrow, it's 25% off with discount code "kris" at checkout. And, no, that's not in reference to Kris Kardashian.

The long of it...

I'm finding the difference between us mere mortals and the giants we look up to isn't so much talent as it is initiative.

Yes, talent certainly matters.

But, as you will soon see, some of humanity's most talented individuals walked this Earth entirely unnoticed, until they took matters into their own hands.

Harrison Ford was paying the bills as a carpenter while taking small acting jobs in Hollywood. He was smart, though. He worked on the homes of stars. One day, one of his clients introduced him to George Lucas. You can put together the rest of the story.

Dennis Rodman played basketball at a no-name NAIA school in Oklahoma (that's nearly three tiers below Division 1 basketball) before defiantly making himself eligible for the 1986 NBA draft. He was drafted 27th by the Detroit Pistons, where he soon became the most dominate defensive player in the entire league.

Mario Grigorov, a legendary composer for film and television, wasn't getting any attention in Australia so he moved to Los Angeles and began frequenting a popular piano store where he'd play his heart out; a music producer overheard him, recorded him on the spot and then several weeks later, signed him to a contract with Warner Music.

Here's by far my favorite tale of someone taking matters into their own hands...

Kris Kristofferson, a man that would go on to become one of the purest songwriters to ever come out of Nashville, flew helicopters for the National Guard to pay the bills as he attempted to "make it".

In addition to his work with the National Guard, he worked as a janitor at Columbia Records, where Johnny Cash was signed.

From time to time, he’d run into Cash in the hallways and he’d slip him cassettes of his music (which Cash later said he’d chuck in the lake on his property).

Desperate to get his attention, one day during his shift with the National Guard, Kristofferson decided to fly a helicopter and land it on Johnny Cash’s property in Hendersonville, Tennessee, where legend has it, he stepped out of the helicopter and handed him (yet another) cassette.

Apparently, it made an impression. Johnny Cash would go on to cut one of Kristofferson's songs, “Sunday Morning Coming Down”... which would become a #1 hit.

Nowadays, we live in a world where you can shoot your shot in your sweatpants from your living room, one cold email at a time. So, there's no excuse to play it small nor to let Lady Luck pass you by.

In my latest (and greatest) course, How to become the Don Draper of cold email, you will learn how to get in touch with anyone your heart desires and then turn around and make them an offer they can't refuse.

From now until this time tomorrow, use discount code "kris" at checkout and save 25% off. <3

Godspeed,

Cole.

Code: "kris" (not as in Kardashian).
