💭 A Quick Look at Headless CMS | Issue #11

Hey there 👋, from another issue of the Experience Stack Newsletter!
Today was a busy day for us and our friends at GraphCMS. At Ninetailed, we’re excited to announce our official integration with GraphCMS - one of the leading players in the world of headless CMS.
This means that you can now easily connect Ninetailed with GraphCMS natively and enjoy all the benefits of our personalization platform.
Coming back to this week’s topic, today, you’ll be reading about ‘Headless CMS.’
Let’s jump to this week’s topic.
Then as always, you’ll have the best blog posts, videos, podcasts, and other types of content from last week 🚀

Headless CMS Explained Under 60 Seconds
A Headless CMS is a content management system that delivers content as data to any platform or device via API, rather than having it tightly coupled to a specific website or mobile app.
On the other hand:
A traditional CMS is a monolith that connects the front-end and the back-end of a website in a neat and unified and complex codebase. They contain everything from the database for the content all the way up through the presentation layer.
CMSs are powerful tools to create, manage, and organize web content. However, traditional CMSs have some serious limitations.
The problem is that most traditional CMSs don’t offer the flexibility or features necessary for scalability and ever-changing customer needs and wants.
Benefits of a Headless CMS
  • Composability. Easy integration with APIs, data sources, personalization solutions, and other types of tools.
  • Content standardization and better content architecture.
  • Scalability and reusability.
  • Structured data.
  • Omnichannel delivery.
  • Personalization.
  • Atomic content modeling.
