We Did It!!

I’ve been celebrating on social media a ton, so I’ll keep it brief. I just want to thank everyone for being so supportive in this giant experiment that I’ve undertaken in an attempt to bypass legacy industries to create a new digital pathway to success for independent writers and creators. There’s a lot that needs to be developed in order to take the company to the next level, but that’s where each of you come in. If you have ideas or suggestions that you believe could improve The Storyletter, I’d love to hear them. We may be independent, but that doesn’t mean we have to work alone. The whole point is to make this platform work for you, so if it’s failing in that simple aspect, then changes will be made. Is there something you would like to see happen with The Storyletter in the near future?

Guidelines

I know many of you are eager to submit, and I’m eager to read your submissions. First things first, have you read the submission guidelines and FAQs? After glancing over the guidelines, you should have a pretty good idea on whether your story will work on The Storyletter. If you’re questioning the genre or style, I’d say don’t fret too much. We at The Storyletter will read anything speculative in nature, so bring on your “weird” and your “cool” and your “spooky” stories. The weirder, cooler, and/or spookier they are, the better!

Membership

The next step is to become an XPress member. This is crucial to every step that follows as you won’t be able to access the submission form or the private Discord without becoming a paid member of The Storyletter. You’re subscription (at only $2.50/m or $25/year during 2022) will directly fund all of the work that goes into supporting writers and readers such as yourself. Together, as a community supported by its readers and creators, I believe The Storyletter will grow even stronger than a traditional publishing house. I don’t just believe this, I know it to be true! Also, if you’re a writer and were a part of the #first100, you should be receiving a gift subscription for one month soon as a huge THANK YOU for your support. Submission Form

After you’ve subscribed, you’ll be getting a paid-only email from The Storyletter with all of the details on how to join the Discord and/or how to submit your story. The submission form should be fairly simple and if you follow all of the instructions it’ll walk you through everything we need to get you exactly where you want to be: published!

If you have any questions, don’t be afraid to ask. This process is all very new and experimental as we develop a cohesive and seamless strategy to publish your work.
