🎮 Steam arrives on Chromebooks (in alpha form) 🐧

Have you noticed the golden age of Linux gaming is upon us? Valve recently launched the Steam Deck, and now the first alpha version of Steam is publicly available on certain Chromebooks.

It’s no huge surprise that Chromebooks can run Steam. Chrome OS is built on Steam, and it includes support for running Linux software.

Soon, it’ll be easy to run all those Linux PC games on a Chromebook. Combined with the fact that the Steam Deck runs a form of Linux (SteamOS), it seems like more people will be gaming on Linux soon than ever before.

(Valve’s Proton software makes it possible for many Windows PC games to run on Linux, too.)
