BUY LIST UPDATE: Not adding today either. Inflation numbers on the 12th. Yesterdays rebounding trading activity is not going to dissuade me from assessing an overall bearish market. If the market ends green today, I seriously doubt it will be followed by a green Monday.

TRADING TODAY: Wholesale inventories will be reported today at 1000ET. Wholesale inventories are just a measure of the change of total value of inventories. These are always tough to assess, & I wouldn’t put too much thought into it unless there is a major swing.

The futures look solidly green right now. Lets hope for a green day. If today does end green, I would consider going short SPY or long a market inverse ETF. Even SQQQ may be an option. You DO NOT want to get caught distracted by a market rally with pending inflation numbers.

INFLATION NUMBERS ON TUESDAY THE 12th: I can’t stress this enough. This will move markets. These numbers will be the first inflation data to price in the war in Ukraine in addition to ongoing inflation. February numbers came in at 7.9%. Analyst consensus for the March report is 8.3%. It may just be 8.3 but I think that’s low! I would not be surprised by an 8.4-8.5% report. I think we will be lucky if we aren’t at 10% inflation by Jul/Aug.
