Why Your Blog Traffic Might Be Declining And What to Do About It [PLUS Find Your Spark]

Hi Reader,

Yesterday I turned 50!

While the temptation was there to spend the day celebrating or perhaps even bemoaning how old I feel, I decided to spend some time today reflecting upon how I want the year ahead to be.

As you may have seen - lately, I've been feeling stuck, and I have resolved that this year of being 50 will be one in which I begin moving again.

This year is a year I intend to get unstuck.

As part of that, I'm sharing a weekly 'prompt' via an email to those who want to join me on the journey that I hope will give us all a little push to contemplate ways where we might find that missing spark in our lives.

This is the first prompt.

Prompt 1: INTENT

In putting together my "Find Your Spark" project, I'm using a new(ish) platform called Ghost.io which is focused solely on professional publishing. Ghost is a powerful app for new-media creators to publish, share, and grow a business around their content. It comes with modern tools to build a website, publish content, send newsletters & offer paid subscriptions to members.

While we all want to see our traffic rise the reality is that every blog has days, weeks and even months where traffic levels out or even decreases. This can be quite distressing for bloggers who have big hopes and dreams for their blogs.
