I was talking with a creator recently who told me that when they get emails from brands about possible sponsorship opportunities...

They DELETE them.

Me: "Hold up. As in...delete-delete," I said?

Creator: "Yup."

Me: "So it's because it seems like a scam? Or you're just not interested? Or too busy?"

Creator: "Nope. Nope. Annnnnd...nope."

They finally told me (after some prodding) that it's because they felt like they had no idea what they were doing and were scared they would screw it up.

See, the more I educate creators about sponsorship strategy...

The more I realize that fancy frameworks and tactics are obviously important...

BUT if you don't feel equipped or confident enough to have even an initial conversation with a brand, you're going to massively limit your income potential.
