April was a tough month for the stock market

In fact, it was the S&P 500’s worst month since 2020. And bonds, which usually move in the opposite direction from stocks (meaning when one goes down the other goes up, and vice-versa), aren’t doing so hot either.

There are a lot of reasons for the current volatility — inflation, war, interest rates. And we know it can be nerve-wracking. But the economy’s not all bad news, and there are good reasons to stay in the investing game.
