The regulatory moves around the November sports betting ballot initiatives in California dominate the news and Steve provides analyses the regulatory issues and looks at potential scenarios that could play out in the Golden State. On the east coast, Massachusetts may not be a ‘big’ state when it comes to population (7 million), but it has sporting history and disposable income on its side.

On the corporate side Jake and Steve discuss DraftKings’ latest set of results and look into Bally’s and Penn National’s strategies, which are very different to many of its peers.

Markets down, revenues up

The markets are down on listed gambling companies currently, but the American Gaming Association’s latest quarterly figures reveal that commercial gaming have rebounded strongly in Q122 and the OSB and icasino verticals are also breaking all sorts of records in the US.
