LiveScore - The ultimate season wrap-up 🎁
Manchester City fans were over the Blue Moon following a comeback win over Aston Villa which sealed their side's sixth Premier League title.
City came back from 2-0 down for the first time since February 2005 to beat Villa 3-2 on the final day, which send the Etihad into rapturous scenes.
Quadruple-chasing Liverpool pushed Pep Guardiola's side to the wire. Until Ilkay Gundogan's inspired performance from the City bench, the trophy looked like it could have been heading to Anfield. Tottenham made a late surge to secure Champions League football over bitter rivals Arsenal while West Ham missed out on the chance to leapfrog a misfiring Manchester United to Europa League qualification.
Everton and Leeds survived relegation as Burnley’s six-year stay in the top flight came to an end.
The Scudetto, like the Premier League, was decided on the final day as AC Milan clinched their first title in 11 years.
Milan finished two points clear of their city rivals Inter Milan — who were looking for back-to-back titles — after beating Sassuolo 3-0 away from home.
After spending a large portion of the season in contention for Europe, Atalanta missed out on the opportunity to go above Fiorentina and qualify for the Europa Conference League. They fell to a 1-0 defeat at home to Empoli. At the bottom of the table, strugglers Salernitana managed to avoid relegation despite a 4-0 loss to Udinese on the final day.
The Salerno based side, captained by Franck Ribery, secured safety by a single point after both Genoa and Cagliari failed to beat their opponents.
Real Madrid were crowned LaLiga champions on 30th April, after a season in which they dominated from start to finish.
Madrid have had plenty of time to turn their attention to Saturday's UEFA Champions League final against Liverpool after their 35th title.
The championship also means Carlo Ancelotti became the first manager to secure title's in each of Europe's top five leagues. Barca then sacked manager Ronald Koeman on 27th October and replaced him with former midfielder Xavi. Results picked up under their new boss and, after spending a large part of the season outside the top four, the Blaugrana managed to finish runners up to Madrid.
Elsewhere, Sevilla finished fourth for a third successive season, Cadiz and Mallorca both survived by a point on the final day at the expensive of Granada, and Alavez finished bottom to end a six-year stint in LaLiga.
Bayern Munich maintained their stranglehold on the Bundesliga with a 10th consecutive German title.
The Bavarians were the first to seal their crown in Europe after a 3-1 victory over Borussia Dortmund on 23rd April.
Robert Lewandowski — who is rumoured to be leaving the club in the summer — claimed a fifth golden shoe in a row. In doing so, the prolific Polish striker moved level with the legendary Gerd Muller for the individual accolade on seven overall. At the bottom of the table, Stuttgart avoided relegation on the final day with a 2-1 win over Europe-chasing Cologne. Their victory saw Hertha finish in the relegation play-off spot — they subsequently went on to beat Hamburg and avoid the drop themselves.
Elsewhere, Bayer Leverkusen qualified for the UEFA Champions League for the first time in four seasons after finishing third, newcomers Firth went straight back down after coming bottom and Arminia Bielefeld joined them in the second tier.
