[2022 Report] Has Prime Day lost its hype?

Hey Reader,

Every year, Prime Day attracts a huge percentage of the 200 million Prime members globally. Third-party sellers leverage this traffic by offering discounts and irresistible deals to get their brands and products off the ground.

However, although it’s a relatively big event, it’s not where most Amazon customers burn a hole in their pocket.

This is just one of the many insights we gathered after surveying hundreds of Amazon shoppers. We’ve also collected other data that help third-party sellers understand their audience better.

Our report answers questions like

  • Do customers prefer Amazon over 3P sellers?
  • How much do product reviews really matter?
  • Do shoppers lie about reasons for returning products to ‘scam’ sellers?
