I finally got to do a Movie in the Park in Chicago this week, which has been on my summer bucket list for YEARS. We saw In the Heights, if you are curious, and it was probably as amazing a night as you can imagine, with laughter, wine, a fantastic soundtrack, and great friends.

7/18 - Increase your # of email subscribers

7/19 - Learn easy ways to build and manage your business

Denise Duffield Thomas’s second edition of her popular Chillpreneur book is launching Tuesday with a new name: Chill and Prosper: The New Way to Grow Your Business, Make Millions and Change the World. I, for one, am excited about this as she presents such accessible alternatives to running a business that is right up my alley.

7/20 - Get some focused writing done

Alexandra Franzen is hosting a free writing workshop next week where you could write a book in one day. I’m planning to attend to work on something (haven’t figured out exactly what just yet. 🤔). I love this description:

“On July 20, you might write an entire book. You might write one page. You might realize that you don’t actually want to write a book, and you want to host a podcast instead! Whatever happens is exactly what’s meant to happen…”

7/21 - Get advice on launching a community

Jay Clouse is hosting a free workshop sharing a 5-part framework to launch, grow, and monetize a community. I may not attend this one live. Still, I keep wondering about this as a newsletter creator, so I’m looking forward to the recording.

Because as I learned, a freebie does not help you grow your audience. 🤯 And it’s true, much of my subscriber growth has come from getting in front of other people’s audiences through guesting on podcasts, word of mouth from other newsletter creators (most recently in Growth Currency), and being featured in bundles.
