I hope you are keeping it well, wherever you are. I am currently on holiday in Portugal and just yesterday finished reading a book that I had to recommend to you.

A trigger warning, however, is necessary as it deals with post-natal depression and psychosis. Ariana Harwicz’s debut novel, “Die, My Love” is a brutal read. With some quite graphical passages, we follow this unnamed woman, an immigrant, living in the French countryside struggling with being a new mum and navigating family life.

Ariana intertwines motherhood with some spasms of violence and does it so with brilliance. Not an easy read, but one that will take you on a journey of madness and the terrors of desire.
