CreativeMornings - 😴 Welcome to our issue of rest

This newsletter issue is a little different! Fun fact: our August newsletter open rates are our lowest every year. I assume that means many of you take time in August to unplug. Next week, I’m taking a pause, and Weekly Highlights is, too. Today’s issue is dedicated to providing some restful inspiration. Sit back, put your feet up, and enjoy!

Weekly Highlights will be back in your inbox on August 16.

Ayla Larsen

“The next time you need to restart, don't stay up all night focusing on problem at hand. Get some rest, get some art, and get ready to begin again.”

Ayla Larsen takes the CreativeMornings/Denver stage and interprets “Restart” into two component words: Rest and Art. Through lighthearted examples, Larsen shares how rest is an important “restart” button for us as we look to solve problems. Take 8 minutes to delight in Larsen’s interpretation of Rest.

Our upcoming September theme is "Depth," chosen by CreativeMornings/Columbus. Where does "depth" appear in your life? How do you go deep? Whether it’s a story, image, observation, song, poem, or other artifact, you can share your submissions in this form. We’ll feature a round-up of "Depths" at the end of the month!

Don’t miss out on August’s round-up on “Critical,” where you shared how you think about criticism and critique and what you consider essential in your life.
