The Bible is among dozens of books banned in this Texas school district.

An email that was sent out the day before [the first day of school at Keller Independent School District], instructed school staff to pull all copies of a list of more than 40 books from classrooms and libraries. The books include the graphic novel adaptation of Anne Frank's diary, all versions of the Bible and numerous books with LGBTQ+ themes or characters.
    ...
The School Board did not say why the Bible and the Anne Frank book were removed, but parents had objected to them. The books on the list have been challenged at the district in the past and while some have been reviewed and put back on shelves, they must all undergo another review under new criteria set by the school board, the school district said.
    ...
The new policies are based on a model from the Texas Education Agency, and ultimately, school board members have the ability to accept or reject any material. Some of the board's new members were backed by a conservative Christian political action committee. Keller ISD did not say if there was a timeline for when the reviews would be completed.
